Akvatiska kroppar
Aluminum, various dimensions, 2025
On the shore of an island I melt wax on a portable stove. When the mass has changed from solid to liquid I pour it into a passing wave.
I lift the wave. Carry it ashore on my shoulder and take it home with me on the boat.
I let the wax flow with streams and rivers. In the streamlines of the sculptures, the hand and the eye experience tactile traces of time and place, embodied in the materiality of the wax.
In this series of six works, watercourses flow from Västerbotten and Hälsingland. Their unique imprints have been created at the same time in an ongoing change, as in a past.
